Since I was a child growing up in Ecuador, I have always been attracted to the world of fashion. I remember watching my grandmother sew clothes for me. She used to bring up memories of how my mom was into creating her own bags and wardrobe. From there, I felt a spark, and at 17 years old, my passion for fashion lead me to open my first clothing boutique.

Everyone thought I was crazy because I was the first in my family to embark on such a journey. Our family business was centered around motorcycles and electronics, not fabrics and design. A few years later I decided to pursue a photography and modeling career in the United States. This passion and belief meant I had to close my boutique.

I’ve learned a lot during my time in the US, but unfortunately for personal reasons I could not continue developing my skills in that field. So I started creating my hand bags again and sold them to friends. A few years later, the Be You brand was created in Miami. My intention behind it was to create something that defined my love for fashion while providing each customer the ability to just Be You by feeling their best and most comfortable while wearing my pieces… And that’s just what I did!
